What we do?

Basic Care

Our basic care package ensures our service users maintain their independence. This level of care involves assisting  with day to day tasks such as bed making, befriending, being an active companion, light household chores such as dusting, washing pots, hovering, laundry etc.

Our basic care package  is considered to be those soft skill tasks that add value to living independently.

Extra Care

Our extra care package involves additional tasks that warrant more direct involvement from the support worker to ensure our clients independence is continued.

This package includes everything in our basic care package but you may require more technical tasks such as meal preparation, medical assistance, preparing medication , assisted showering and cleaning, dressing, moving and handling and shopping and much more.

Intensive Care

Our Intensive care package covers both our care packages and is specifically tailored for those with complex needs.

This package also considers 24 hour care needs  on a short term basis. We can consider longer term arrangements of 24 hours  upon discussion and agreement. This type of care maybe needed to offer a family member respite.

Our Service to You

Community care and support, what is this?

This is generally known as care and support offered in the community or your own home helping a service user maintain their independence to live in the community for as long as possible.

The frequency of care and support is led by the service user or the family member supporting the service user. We do feel offering anything less than 1 hour per day does not assist fully with the needs of the person requiring the support.

Our role is to assist with all needs whether basic or more complex medical conditions. We arrange our time over a weekly, bi weekly, monthly of adhoc basis. We have morning or afternoon calls or daily calls split into 4 time slots or block calls.

Our community support will offer the service user and the family the opportunity to:

  • Co produce a  personalised plan, specifically tailored to your loved one's need
  • Healthy routines and hobbies, one that promotes social interaction and simulates memory or thinking skills
  • Our friendly approach offers support for the family and companionship for the service users
  • We provide the same support worker for consistency where this is possible
  • We will take the service user to local locations of choice where this is agreed to provide social selections  and interaction
  • We recognise that our service users staying at home offers security and safety being in a familiar environment so we develop our support around this to promote independence. and the ability to explore new things.
  • Our support offers family members well deserved respite, trusting that their continued care and support is still provided by us.

Personal Care

We work with our service users to support with their personal hygiene in a way that maintains their dignity. We recognise this can be sensitive for some of our service users. We approach personal care in a way that considers the person and individual needs

Our team are trained to provide personal care according to medical needs or capabilities of our service users. We treat each service user with the respect they deserve understanding that we are in their private space.

Mobility Support

Mobility support can be a struggle for some of our Service. We offer bedside assistance, we will support  our service users to local shops, parks or accompany them on day trips. We guide our service users around their own home using the aids available for their independence.

We take pride in allowing our service users  to live their life to the fullest, in a way that supports them and offers the  help required to navigate social and environmental challenges

Help with Light household duties

Keeping on top of the house work can be an additional task for our service users. We can either work with them or complete the work on their behalf. House hold duties can range from vacuuming to popping the laundry in the washing machine. The main purpose is that what we do allows our service users to live independently in a fresh environment having day to day tasks completed.

Medication Assistance

At times we recognise some of our service users have medical needs that require medication for improved living. Our support workers are trained to prepare medication and/or assist with medication at the times and in the ways as prescribed by your GP. We aim to work with our service user and medical practitioners to support with improving general health and wellbeing.

Meal Preparation

Our support workers will prepare meals and drinks at the times that suit service users to support a healthy diet providing good nutrition, as an added bonus we will wash the pots ensuring your kitchen is left tidy.  We work to add value in all the work we do

Light exercise

We recognise that part of the care package light exercise maybe something we need to assist with. This is to help physical health which will in turn inprove health and wellbeing. when needed we will support our service users to ensure they complete light exercise or physio regimes which promotes good physical health
